What is the smelting process of SPA-H plate

The molten iron for smelting SPA-H plate must be pretreated by molten iron desulfurization. Before entering the converter, the sulfur content of molten iron shall be ≤ 0.010%, and the slag on the surface of molten iron shall be removed. Nickel plate, copper grain or nickel copper alloy are added to converter along with scrap steel. The carbon content at the end of converter smelting is required to be less than or equal to 0.06%, so as to prevent the steel from over oxidation.

The tapping temperature is controlled at 1 640-1 660 ℃. Before tapping, synthetic slag is added into the ladle for baking. Slag plug and slag ball are used to prevent slag from tapping. During tapping, barium silicon calcium, aluminum manganese titanium, silicon manganese, ferrosilicon, medium carbon ferrochromium and ferrophosphorus are added for deoxidization and alloying.
