45Mn2 steel is a medium-carbon quenched and tempered steel with high strength, wear resistance and hardenability. After quenching and tempering, 45Mn2 alloy structural steel has good comprehensive mechanical properties and good machinability; but it has overheating sensitivity and temper brittleness tendency during heat treatment, easy to crack in water quenching, sensitive to white spots, low weldability and cold deformation plasticity and other shortcomings.
