S355J2 is a low-alloy high-strength steel, which can be treated to meet the requirements of Z-15, Z-25, Z-35 and level I, level II and level III flaw detection.The extension grades of S355J2 are S355J2, S355J2-Z35 and S355J2 + N-Z35, S355J2WP equivalent grade. On the basis of S355J2, S355J2-Z35 increases the requirement of S355J2 steel plate thickness direction performance, namely Z-direction performance. S355J2 + N-Z35 is a heat treatment process which increases Z-direction properties and normalizing rolling (or normalizing).

20G steel is boiler steel, which is similar to No. 20 carbon steel. The difference is that 20G steel has higher and stricter inspection standards than S355J2WP equivalent grade, No. 20 carbon steel for harmful impurities and internal defects. That is to say, 20G steel is specially produced for boiler pressure vessels. It is special purpose "No. 20 carbon steel". The use of 20G steel to make boilers is not because it is more resistant to burning than other steels such as S355J2WP equivalent grade, but because of its strength, toughness, ductility, weldability, temperature influence, fatigue fracture, price and cost, etc. 20G steel is most suitable for use in medium and low pressure boilers.

The hot rolling method is to heat the S355J2WP equivalent grade steel material to about 1000 ℃ ~ 1250 ℃ and use the rolling mill to roll it. The traditional hot rolling process is generally divided into the following two steps: the first step is to use the primary rolling mill or billet rolling mill to roll the ingot, billet or continuous casting billet into a certain shape and size of billet. This kind of S355J2WP equivalent grade rolling process is usually called semi-finished product production, also called blank production.

T11 steel is a steel grade produced according to American Standard ASTM A213. T11 steel is used for boiler, superheater and heat exchanger tubes with minimum wall thickness. Chemical composition of ASTM A213 T11 steel: C 0.05-0.15, Si 0.50-1.00, Mn 0.30-0.60, P, S ≤ 0.025, Cr 1.00-1.50, Mo 0.44-0.65. Mechanical properties of ASTM A213 T11 steel: tensile strength ≥ 415 Mpa, yield strength ≥ 170 Mpa, elongation ≥ 30%. The main ASTM A213 steel pipe grades are A213 T11, A213 T12, A213 T22, S355J2WP equivalent grade, etc.
